Update On Batista's WWE Hall Of Fame Status
The latest on Batista, WrestleMania 38, and when he might enter the WWE Hall of Fame.
Although Batista is expected to be in attendance for this year's WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony, don't expect him to be added to his year's class of inductees.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that there are currently no plans for Batista to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022. He will be in Dallas, Texas for The Undertaker's induction next month, but is likelier to enter the Hall himself in 2023, when the ceremony takes place as part of WrestleMania 39 weekend in Los Angeles, California.
Along with the likes of The Rock and Triple H, Batista is one of the strongest contenders left to headline a future WWE Hall of Fame class. The company's policy of not inducting people while they remain as active performers means Vince McMahon, Randy Orton, John Cena, and others will come later down the line, though each is a surefire inductee.
A prominent main-eventer through the Ruthless Aggression era and beyond, Batista is a dead lock to enter the Hall of Fame himself. The six-time world champion last wrestled for WWE at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, losing to Triple H
The Undertaker, Vader, and Sharmell are the only names to be announced for the class of 2022 thus far. The ceremony takes place on Friday 1 April immediately following that night's episode of SmackDown.
