Where is Randy Orton? He hasn't been spotted since punting Cody Rhodes in the skull after losing out on the WWE Title at 'Mania. Either niggling injuries are getting the best of 'The Viper', or management has decided to keep him off TV until they have something big time for him to do. Big time like...running in on Cody's match with Gunther?

Randy turned on Cody heading into ‘Mania, then vanished after the PLE. If he comes back and helps Rhodes beat Gunther then explains why on SmackDown, it’ll likely sink because that doesn't make much sense. If anything, assuming WWE wants to continue things between these guys, Orton should cost Cody here, but the more likely outcome is that he causes the ref to throw the entire match out.

Booking an unsatisfying “non-finish” in one of the World Title bouts on a 5-match card would be risky though. This isn't some episode of SmackDown being filmed overseas - it's a standalone pay-per-view level show, and that comes with some pressure. In other words, fans buying premium tickets for this thing want to see definitive results, especially when it comes to the tippy top matches they're paying to see.

If Orton runs in and forces a no contest, then it'll almost certainly lead to a Triple Threat at Night Of Champions or on the next SNME. Neither of those options do much for fans attending Clash. Personally, this guy thinks Gunther should win the belt with Sami Zayn's aid, but WWE may see things differently.
