WWE Clash In Italy 2026: 8 Nightmares That Could Come True
4. Fatu Falls In Line
The stipulation going into Clash In Italy is that Jacob will have to become a part of Roman’s revamped Bloodline if he loses. Serious question: Does anyone have any desire to see Fatu go along with that? He’d be neutered, and we’ve already seen this sketch when he was Solo Sikoa’s brute in the ‘New Bloodline’.
However, it definitely feels like WWE creative has backed themselves into a corner with this story and there's no other alternative. They could put the World Heavyweight Title on Jacob on Sunday, but that's unlikely so soon after Roman won the strap from CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. So, the only other option is having Fatu acknowledge Reigns before falling in line next to Jimmy and Jey.
That...doesn't sound suitable for him midway through 2026. Honestly? The 'Werewolf' should be beyond playing backup to anyone by this stage in his WWE run. Again, he's already been there and done that as muscle for others, and there's no need to blow up his stellar work whilst chasing the 'OTC'. Jacob as a bodyguard for Roman will feel less than, and he doesn't need it.
WWE crowds are willing to back Fatu as a bonafide headliner, but the writing team need to meet them halfway. If he isn't winning the belt in Italy, then Jacob must find a way to get out of that stip so he doesn't become background noise to the real star of the show (Reigns) on TV for the rest of the year.
Don't give that 'aw, but he'll be needed for WarGames' energy either.
