Ariel would get the win for her team at December to Dismember, although she would be released by WWE the following May - a release that she blamed on Dave Bautista.

A stint as Salinas in TNA would soon follow that release, and Shelly Martinez would continue to compete under her real name on the independent scene up until retiring in 2017.

Away from the wrestling business, Martinez has appeared in several movies and music videos, she is the Hollywood correspondent for MoreHorror.com and a "vampire content creator", is a major marijuana advocate, and provides OnlyFans content.
