WWE Night Of Champions 2026: 8 Things That NEED To Happen
2. Oba Femi Becomes King Of The Ring
Hard pass on thoughts of Jey Uso winning King Of The Ring then meeting Cody Rhodes for the WWE Title at SummerSlam. That actually sounds lame and like the kind of thing Trips should only consider for a 'B' tier PLE or one of those SNME specials. It isn't big enough for SummerSlam - not in 2026 post-meat of Jey's main event push.
Oba Femi is the obvious 'King'. Granted, that may well be why WWE decide to shake things up and go with Uso, but this fan is having none of it. No, not even if Brock Lesnar sprints back into view solely to cost Oba the crown so they can have a blow off match in Minneapolis. That can still happen anyway, because it wouldn't be out of the question for Femi to pull double duty across SummerSlam weekend this August.
The man's a walking brick wall, so anything is possible and he'd relish the pressure of back to back marquee bouts against top stars like Brock and Roman Reigns. Triple H could even get to that aforementioned clash between Roman and Seth Rollins by lining up 2 matches for the 'OTC' as well.
Y'know, to keep things fair.
Jey winning would press pause on Oba vs. Roman for a while longer, but it just doesn't sound satisfying to picture Uso with the crown then going on to face Cody. WWE tried their best to elevate Jey to permanent main event status, but it didn't work out. Trying again feels like the same backwards step his Bloodline renewal was.
