No, that summary line wasn't a Shockmaster joke.

However, WWE will be going back to the past this weekend for Saturday Night's Main Event. Four title matches are on tap, and there's even an old school vibe to the grudge bout between vicious heel Drew McIntyre and spitfire babyface Sami Zayn. It's like 1988 all over again, folks! Or, at least, it better be. SNME conjures up images of the past, and there are certain retro-istic things people expect when tuning into the show 2024 or not.

Again, Triple H could drop a major bombshell that shakes the very foundations of WWE to their core. The Hart Foundations, if you like. One championship is guaranteed to change hands. In truth, it'll be doing so for the first time. There's still a bit to sort out on SmackDown at time of writing, but one of four women (Bayley, Chelsea Green, Michin or Tiffany Stratton) will become the first ever Women's United States Champ.

Logically, the two women bookending that mini-list would make the most sense, but...no. Someone else deserves a chance to show what she can do. If Hunter hands the ball to this worker, then she might use US gold as a gateway to bigger and better things throughout WrestleMania 41 season. Bring it on.

Various legends will be in the house at the old Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum too. Ideally, they'll play a much bigger role in proceedings than a quick wave to the live crowd or appearing in various zany backstage skits. That's fine for some of them, but not all. A few of the bigger stars need to have clear purpose, including returning guest commentator Jesse Ventura.
