WWE 2K20's disaster was the best thing that could've happened to 2K's series.

That's a controversial statement, because it obviously wasn't fun for those who spent cash on the game and were promptly left disappointed. However, it forced a complete rethink from the developers and has led to a three year cycle of excellence that's now peaked with 2K24. Spoiler alert: This is a very good game.

The sheer wealth of modes 2K serves up is impressive. 2K24 also features one of the most varied rosters ever seen in a pro wrestling title, and there's more to come on that front with various DLC packs and bonuses. That's all before one digs into the soon-to-be-bustling Community Creations hub as well.

New match types, a souped up WrestleMania-themed Showcase, incremental improvements to familiar modes like MyRise, MyGM and Universe, subtle yet brilliant gameplay tweaks - yep, 2K has been busy since last year. Everything comes together to create one of the most robust and rewarding packages yet.

Not everything is perfect, of course. Pesky visual inconsistencies and some in-mode restrictions can annoy, but 2K24 is a sheer delight to experience overall.

Here's all the good and bad!
