WWE TLC 2015: 10 Things We Learned

6. The New Day Will Continue Into 2016 As Tag Champs

It wouldn't have exactly been shocking had The Dudley Boyz defeated The New Day to win the WWE Tag-Team Titles at some point during their recent rivalry. Going further, a portion of the promotion's fan base would likely have welcomed the switch, swayed by the nostalgia of seeing Bubba Ray and D-Von holding the belts. The New Day escaped that feud, and they may have escaped another. There's a lot of room for more matches against both The Lucha Dragons and The Usos after TLC. It seems like The Usos will be the natural challengers for the gold in the near future, because Sin Cara and Kalisto have already had their televised wins over the champs. Also, The Usos are part of The Family, so they seem to be higher up the food chain than the masked men. Whatever WWE do decide to do, there's little chance that they will elect to take the tag titles from The New Day before the turn of the new year. Barring an implausible switch on Raw or Smackdown, TLC was the last chance for the group to lose the straps. There shouldn't be a big rush to remove the belts from The New Day anyway, they work as an act.
