WWE WrestleMania 35: 8 Most Likely Outcomes
5. John Cena Becomes Kurt Angle’s Final Opponent
When Kurt Angle announced that he would be having his last match at WrestleMania, excitement spread through the WWE Universe as fans attempted to guess the identity of his final opponent, putting forward names like The Undertaker, AJ Styles and John Cena. Then, the following week on live TV, he told the world that, on the 'Grandest Stage Of Them All', he would be facing... Baron Corbin.
The lack of audience reaction was a sign of how few people actually wanted to see that match and, weeks later, nothing has changed. Even with the added weight of it being the veteran's final bout, the fans still don't care for this contest, mainly because Corbin isn't considered a credible (or worthy) contender. Of course, that didn't seem to change WWE's mind as the rivalry has continued and, with 'Mania almost upon us, it sure looks like this is going to happen.
However, there is one wild card that could change things up completely, and that is none other than John Cena. Despite not being involved in any of the WrestleMania build-up because of his filming schedule, the 16-time World Champion will be present on the night and, according to rumours, WWE has something big planned for him.
Given the pair's history together and the fact that this is a match worthy enough for Kurt's grand finale, there is a strong possibility that Cena could end up taking Corbin's place and ultimately give the fans what they want and, more importantly, give Kurt the send-off he deserves.
