Seth Rollins' long journey towards becoming the Universal Champion will finally come to an end at WrestleMania. It has to.

He's the young, hopeful contender set to carry WWE into a new era by dethroning the monstrous champion and taking the coveted gold back to the full-time roster. The narrative is familiar - we've seen it played out twice with Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar himself - the only difference is that this time, there is a babyface that fans actually want to succeed.

Lesnar's one-dimensional bad guy who deprives the championship from the Raw superstars has been exhausted to the point where he was supposed to lose the gold to Reigns last year. Yet for some reason, WWE pulled a complete 180 and had him retain. Though the title would eventually be ripped from his grip, the frustrating status quo was reset when Lesnar recaptured it later in the year.

The one thing we can take away from all of this is that Lesnar once again has played his role to perfection - and he will continue to do so if he loses the Universal Championship at 'Mania. Much like Lesnar's shocking defeat of The Undertaker catapulted him to legendary heights, a loss to Rollins would position 'The Kingslayer' as WWE's top star - a title that has eluded him for far too long.

Having single-handedly carried Raw for over a year, it's time for Seth Rollins to do what nobody else can and take what is rightfully his - the Universal Championship.
