10 Awesome Comics That Deserve Their Own Video Game

Batman Arkham Origins Med 600x3001 Comic books and video games are a match made in Hell. For a very long time, that's been the prevailing wisdom, going all the way back to the days of The Uncanny X-Men on the original Nintendo. The few games that were entertaining still didn't have a whole lot to offer. Most of them were just generic side-scrollers or fighting games that failed to tap into what makes these characters great. But that all changed with Spider-Man on PlayStation. For once, a video game company decided to actually look at the comics and tailor the gameplay to the character as opposed to tailoring the character to the gameplay. It was the first time in a long line of Spider-Man games where you actually felt like Spider-Man. From that point on, comic book games have gotten steadily better and better. Just like with the movies, the technology of gaming has now gotten to the point where it's a lot easier to embrace the worlds these characters inhabit. Because of this, we now have not one but two extremely successful, and extremely faithful, Batman video games in the form of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, with a third on the way.
