With the dawning of the Justice League era fast approaching and a revamping of the Batman cinematic franchise confirmed to be coming upon its release, fans worldwide are left hoping that their favourite storylines from the pages of the comics will be brought to the silver screen.

While Snyder’s Superman vs Batman: Dawn of Justice being met with mixed reviews, it’s hard to deny that Bats was captured on screen in a way he’s never quite been before. Finally, we saw a Batman that could move like Batman, no longer constrained by thick rubber costumes that forced whoever was in the suit into blocky, ungraceful movements.

We saw a Batman that used his considerable mind as well as his physical prowess and this gives way to the idea that quite possibly, we’ll get to see Batman feature in some of his more cerebral storylines. It's about time we got to see him use his tech and detective skills to solve mysteries, as well as kick some major super-villain butt, in some of his most iconic, as yet unused stories.

And with the impending arrival of the Nightwing and Batgirl movies, it looks like we're finally going to get a proper look at the Bat-family, including the various Robins, Batwoman, The Oracle... These characters are, after all, integral to some of Batman’s greatest storylines and now, with the birth of the multi-hero story, perhaps we'll get to see more of those seminal story moments.

We can only hope.
