3. Cheshire
Completely unrelated to the English county, Cheshire is one of the top assassins in the DC Universe.
Jade Nguyen is the daughter of an American senator and a poor Vietnamese mother. She was sold into slavery as a child, but later escaped after killing her master. She was then taken in by a Chinese freedom fighter called Weng Chan who taught her all about martial arts and guerrilla warfare.
She also met and married the assassin Spitting Cobra who taught her all about poisons. Completely coincidentally, he then died.
After travelling around the world to train with the masters of various martial arts, Jade became the mercenary known as Cheshire. She is a formidable hand-to-hand fighter (depending on the writer, she is one of the top martial artists in the world) and her weapon of choice is a set of razor-sharp fake nails coated in poison.
Cheshire really made a name for herself when she teamed up with Deathstroke to steal nuclear warheads from Russia as part of a plan to blackmail world leaders. Jade proved that she was actually willing to follow through on her threats by detonating one of the warheads over the fictional country of Quarac.
She also has a complicated relationship with the superhero Arsenal. When the first met, they fell passionately in love with each other and even had a daughter together.
