10 Things Everyone Gets Wrong About Wolverine

9. He Can't Get Hurt

This might seem redundant in light of the character's perceived immortality, but part of Wolverine's character that many people, fans and writers alike seem to have forgotten over time is that, even avoiding death, Wolverine does feel pain.

From popping his claws through skin to getting cut, bruised, battered and shot, Wolverine has about the same pain threshold as any human, albeit a very, very high one. He'll always heal from these wounds, of course, but unless the injuries completely burned away his pain receptors, he feels every one.

And you thought he was a badass before?

He's able to withstand a lot, this is true, and his healing factor can fix things fast enough that the pain passes just as quickly, but because his senses are heightened, it's almost ironic that many seem to think he doesn't feel as much as others, at least physically.

Apart from his ability to feel pain, there are also weapons made specifically to hurt him, like the Muramasa Blade, which could nullify his healing factor. His advanced senses also mean that sensory overload can hurt him, something that a few savvy villains have taken advantage of time and again.
