This story followed the adventures of Batman and the second Robin - Jason Todd - which ultimately led to the shocking death of the latter.
Make no mistake about it, Todd was actually a bit of a d*ck, but the scene at the end showing Batman holding his lifeless body in his arms was still an extremely emotive one and remains one of the most memorable and poignant in Batman history to this day.
