4. Night Of The Living Deadpool #2 by Cullen Bunn and Ramon Rosanas (Marvel)
While Deadpool was in a food coma from eating too many chimichangas, the zombie apocalypse happened - now in the aftermath, he discovers he's the last remaining superhero in a city swarming with undead. But as he leaves the blood-soaked metropolis behind him, is there a safe haven for Wade to eat more junk food and drink beer or has he eaten his last taco? The series is presented as a black and white horror movie with Deadpool as the only colour in the comic which is definitely an interesting look. The black and white also helps make this a less gory comic as its packed with rotting zombies, dead bodies, and bloody injuries throughout but the only red you see is Deadpool's outfit. There are also the requisite crazier than Deadpool characters included like that final page reveal - loved Wade's deadpan reaction! Cullen Bunn, the writer of the Deadpool Killology, has the tone of the character down pat so while it's basically your usual zombie story, it's that much more interesting because Deadpool's the protagonist. Bunn jabs at popular zombie movies like Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead and the ever-popular TV series, The Walking Dead, in the montage sequence where Deadpool's searching for a safe haven for his Deadpool Scouts(!). Night of the Living Deadpool is an enjoyably daffy Deadpool version of a zombie story with enough here to satisfy fans of the character and the genre alike.
