6 Underrated Comics Running Now

dugdug]] With DC and Marvel presenting a new event every other week, or at least it feels that way, it can be difficult for some other comics to gain the attention they deserve. With Marvel's Age of Ultron being all the rage right now, with a new Thanos-centric event to follow after than, and DC already hyping up their big summer event Trinity War, it's very easy for other smaller comics to slip under the average comic book reader's radar. Unfortunately, some comic books that are not getting the attention they deserve right now are also some of the best out there. So take a break from reading Age of Ultron or Throne of Atlantis, and take a look at some of the most underrated comics running now that are very much worth your undivided attention.

6. Hawkeye - Matt Fraction and David Aja

Matt Fraction's Hawkeye Hawkeye is without a doubt one of the greatest comics on shelves now. Matt Fraction blends humor, action and drama perfectly in one of, if not the best superhero comics from Marvel. David Aja brings a touch of class to Clint Barton that other artists cannot come close to. And paired together, Fraction and Aja prove to be an outstanding creative team who have solidified Hawkeye as one of our favorite superheroes and deserve to go down in history for it. Instead of dragging out a single story arc across five or six issues, the series is made up of short stories usually involving Clint Barton finding himself in the middle of a crazy situation. #3 is a perfect example of how a comic can benefit from being a short and contained story, as it remains one of the funniest issue of any series I have read. If you're not reading Hawkeye, you're missing out. Pick up Hawkeye Vol. 1: My Life As a Weapon (collecting #1-5) and Vol. 2 coming soon!
