9 Female Marvel Heroes Who Desperately Deserve An MCU Movie

It really is ridiculous that we're still talking about an MCU without a solo Black Widow movie.

Since her initial introduction in Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff has easily been one of the most popular Avengers out there. Omitted from merchandise and cast out from Marvel's solo movie plans, the character has been restricted to key appearances in other flagship franchises, including Captain America and, of course, the Avengers too.

And while Joss Whedon and Johansson have held talks regarding a potential Widow film, it really is now or never for it to happen. Like, this should've been released yesterday, never mind 2020. Even then, hope of a potential Widow film being one of the unnamed 2020 titles feels optimistic, as Kevin Feige continues to duck the topic whenever it gets brought up.

Until then, the definitely-not-a-Black-Widow-rip-off film Red Sparrow (starring Jennifer Lawrence) will be releasing in 2018, so take that as you will.
