It has been a long time since we’ve seen what Scott Lang has been up to. As the second and current Ant-Man, he was an integral part of Captain America’s team during the Civil War, but since then we have not heard much from the pint-sized hero.
Ant-Man and the Wasp, the second Marvel movie out in 2018, hopes to fill in the gaps left over from Lang’s absence while also providing backstory to the original Ant-Man and Wasp. Michael Douglas returns as Hank Pym, the creator of the Pym Particle technology and the Ant-Man suit.
He and his daughter Hope will be dealing with Scott in the aftermath of the Ant-Man suit making headlines after it was used at a German airport without their permission.
Michelle Pfeiffer joins the cast as Janet Van Dyne, Hope’s mother and Hank’s wife, who is thought to be lost in the sub-atomic realm. She is said to be portrayed in a series of flashbacks, showing the early days of her and her husband as a super-hero tandem. TI, David Dastmalchian, and Michael Peña will also reappear as Lang's old crew.
