9 Worst Things Doctor Doom Has Done

Going from zero to one-hundred rather quickly, and it's time to mention one of the Fantastic Four's lowest moments. During Mark Waid's run on Fantastic Four, the group head to Latveria to take down Doctor Doom for good. Everything goes swimmingly for a while, until Reed Richards seats himself on the throne of the country and everything turns upside down.

Inviting the unwanted attention of foreign governments with his practices, Reed unwittingly unleashes Doom's spirit from Hell. Doom then jumps between the bodies of each of the four before settling on Ben, and with Reed growing increasingly incensed with each passing moment, the leader of the Four picks up a special weapon and fires it at The Thing, killing him in the process.

Reed would soon devise a way of bringing Ben back, but his temporary absence hammered home the animosity shared between Mr. Fantastic and Victor. It's the kind of moment that could only be made possible with decades of history between them, so while this act itself is fairly horrific, the implications of Reed's violence are just as sobering.
