Avengers: Infinity War Spoilers - 10 Scenes We 100% Know Are Happening
Spoilers, assemble!
The scene for Avengers: Infinity War has already been set, shaped by almost a decade's worth of feeder films and Marvel Comics lore.
The fans are well aware the film will see The Avengers, their allies and the Guardians of the Galaxy join forces to take on a threat with the power to unmake reality, the Mad Titan Thanos, and frankly, should be bracing themselves for the ultimate cosmic smackdown.
Thanks to years of plotting and drip feed story-telling, we all already know that the big bad wants to get his hands on the Infinity Stones, the movie's six-pronged McGuffin, and the Avengers will be disassembled when the story begins, but beyond that, plot specifics are locked up tight in Odin's vault.
In an age of internet leaks, however, it is possible to find extra nuggets of info about your favourite blockbusters well in advance, if you know where to look.
Like any production of such titanic scale, Infinity War has been the subject of spoilerific set leaks, and they offer bonus insight into the fate of the film's heroes, villains and whatever Loki is supposed to be...
10. Doctor Strange Loses An Eye
No, he's not about to become the mystical equivalent of Nick Fury. The eye that Doctor Strange appears to lose is much more valuable than one of his peepers.
They tried to warn the Sorcerer Supreme that he's asking for trouble by carrying around an Infinity Stone, and in Infinity War, he looks to have found it.
Set photos outed by JustJared have seemingly confirmed that Stephen Strange will lose the Eye of Agamotto after being jumped by a guy in a mo-cap suit.
Presumably the attacker will be rendered as a member of the Black Order - Thanos's children - once Marvel Studios' special effects gurus get their hands on the footage.
Strange surrendering the gem is bad news for the good guys, because once all six Infinity Stones are united in Thanos's gauntlet, the Mad Titan will have the power to reshape the Marvel Universe however he sees fit.
That's one in the eye for the Avengers.
