It's been little over seven months since we last got a glimpse of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but here come Sony looking to brighten our Wednesday with a fresh look at the film.

Phil Lord and Chris Miller's animated adaptation of the Spidey license already looked impressive when it first debuted in December, but with a story now in place and a buttload to pick apart, it's fair to say that this trailer has already outdone the teaser we saw before.

Boasting a cast comprised of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Liev Schreiber, Brian Tyree, Henry Luna, Lauren Velez and Lily Tomlin, Into the Spider-Verse is an ensemble in every sense of the word, and while we're still hoping that Miles leads the film from start to finish, the fact this latest look lent heavily on the promise of there being multiple Spider-Men is sure to make it one of the most unique takes on the mythos we've seen so far.

It looks incredible, and with a Christmas release date in mind, and the prospect of further teases at San Diego Comic Con, Sony's latest animated effort could yet eclipse the remaining Marvel offerings later this year - even Ant-Man.

It might not be live action, but when a film looks this good, who could possibly care?
