Roger Moore.
Even though I can admit that he stayed too long, he’s the only Bond to be suave, badass, human, elegant, thoughtful, dark (For Your Eyes Only) and he had to take down both Christopher Lee and Christopher Walken.
Moore’s probably got the strongest movies, also, when you consider FYEO, Live and Let Die, The Spy Who Loved Me, and The Man With the Golden Gun. And Moore’s remained vocal about the franchise in his career after, always happy he did it. And he’s even a huge fan of Daniel Craig. He’s a class act. Bond, eldered. And I love him for it.

Daniel Craig… because as great as they all are, Craig seems the first Bond who is a little more than a cinematic action hero. He feels more real in the role, like a human being who exists in this phenomenal environment
Sean Connery. He just made the part his own, certainly his are the films I revisit the most. It would have been good to see a few more with Dalton. Brosnan was good, but the scripts/ stories lacked something for me. I have enjoyed all the Craig ones so far, looking forward to seeing Skyfall.
Roger Moore. For me he is Bond. Connery is more than just his Bond role. Brosnan is more than his Bond role. Bond was Moore’s ideal role in my eyes. Its also shaping up that way with Craig. Even though he has some other memorable roles, I just think of Bond now when I see Craig.

Sean Connery is the first and best Bond with his smouldering eyes and Scottish Accent. He seemed to be around forever and he is the one that I associate with the Bond character the most. However, Daniel Craig the last Bond comes in a close second, and can’t wait for Skyfall

Roger Moore is mine, as i grew up watching him. I liked the Bonds he made as they where very tongue in cheek but could be moody when need be, but most of all the baddies had more character to them Tee Hee, Jaws, Blofeld just to name a few :D

I know its controversial, but Timothy Dalton! In some ways, the living daylights is the best bond movie. he was a lot more gritty than the other bonds (except for Daniel Craig, who owes a lot to Jason Bourne!). And he had the joy of doing the only 15 rated bond, Licence to kill. All in all the franchise had a great bond, alas he had pulled out for goldeneye due to contractual issues.

My favourite used to be Roger Moore, simply because his movies were the ones I grew up with. But now, Daniel Craig is my No 1 Bond. He’s grittier, sexier and I never get tired of the scene with the blue trunks!
Sean Connery by a mile. Each actor brought something different to the table with their portrayal of Bond, but Connery set the standard that all actors try to follow. Connery has the charm, the looks (even to this day he’s still a handsome looking fellow), and the swag to seduce any woman on the planet. Give me Connery any day.

Brosnan was smooth but he wasn’t tough like a lowly orphan raised in a private school would be. He was just Remington Steel again.

Timothy Dalton was gritty but didn’t have enough time to flesh out the role. He had too much emotion at times.

Simply the best at Bond
It would have to be Pierce Brosnan.
He oozes class and I think he is not rate highly enough as Bond, James Bond.
Pierce Brosnan – because he’s the only man since Connery that I feel embodies the part. And without his 90s rejuvenation of the franchise, it would have died with the successive missteps of the Moore/Dalton era. Daniel Craig might be giving us a James Bond renaissance at the moment, but the jump from Brosnan to Craig is nothing compared to the jump to Brosnan from what came before. This was when Bond was brought up-to-date, turned into a franchise of modern blockbusters, and, more importantly, proven to be relevant in a post-Cold War era. Without Brosnan, we wouldn’t have Craig, and we wouldn’t have whoever’s coming next either. If Connery set the tone from ’62 onwards, Brosnan has set it from ’95. Goldeneye pips Casino Royale for best Bond flick I’ve seen in the cinema. Plus, he’s the kind of guy who persuades producers that even invisible cars and surfing are manageable in a Bond flick. Now THAT’S an assured James Bond…

Its a tough question as all the actors bring their own thing to the show, such as the suaveness of roger moore and the brilliant acting of daniel craig, but to me it has to be Pierce Brosnan because I think he opitomises what Bond should be, in looks, personality and style

Pierce Brosnan – the reason being that after a period of 6 years in limbo, the Bond films returned with the excellent GoldenEye, which was for me, the best ever Bond film. Even with a poor story in Tomorrow Never Dies, Brosnan always acted Bond with humour but without compromising on the toughness of the character, unlike Daniel Craig, who is the toughest Bond but I feel does not project the humour that makes James Bond the man that every man or boy wants to be !
oo, this is a tough one, loved sean connery, the accent and just so sauve, even today :-) but Pierce Brosnon just adored, they should never have axed him, he had a couple of movies left in him. I like Craig, but Brosnon to me was more believable and had a softer, more able to blend in with everyday people, which is a must for a spy :-)

Roger Moore – I was always afraid he would break a hip and he wore his trousers around his armpits, Timothy Dalton – something lacked, Pearce Brosnan was another good choice although I didn’t really believed he would kill someone. Daniel Craig is too rough never think of him as James Bond just that they are ‘spy films’. Sam Worthington would be a better choice.
For me the latest is the greatest and thats Daniel Craig. He has taken Bond back to a time where Bond is ruthless and rugged. The other Bonds are great but for me Daniel Craig has established the amazing Bond franchise into the 21st Century from its humble 60s roots.

That’s tricky because they all brought something different to the character which made them equally special in their own right. But I guess it would have to be Roger Moore because he was the first “James Bond” I saw, so he who I immediately associated as being James Bond. Plus Live and Let Die and A View To A Kill are two of my favourite films, a bit cheesy but I do love them! :-)

On balance, despite Sean Connery’s fine acting, I have to vote for Daniel Craig, but he succeeds partly because the gritty and ruthless character of Bond comes through by virtue of better direction and less reliance on humour in the latest 3 films.
