Batman Has At Least Three Scenes In Suicide Squad

Don't expect much more than a cameo...

If you expected Batman to be a major presence in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, you probably haven't been paying attention. Either way, you're going to be somewhat disappointed to hear his role - as widely expected - is limited only to a couple of scenes.

Batman-News has clearly been talking to some of the fans who saw the movie at the advanced special screening as they have the scoop on how much we'll actually get to see of Ben Affleck's Dark Knight in the villain ensemble.

Inevitably, Batman will not interact with all of the villains: he has a scene with Deadshot that the site called "emotional", as well as a later flashback scene (explaining Will Smith's pimp suit get-up from the leaked set photos).

And of course, there's that scene with the Joker car and Harley:

"Next is the car scene that we saw in the trailers with Batman, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. Unfortunately there isnt much interaction between Batman and the Joker here. Its mostly between Batman and Harley. A report came out last summer that said the Jokers car plunges into the water, and as we saw in the latest trailer, it does and Batman gets Harley out safely."

That all sounds about right: adding in too much Batman would have undermined the film as a side-project, and by the sound of it, it already has enough going on not to need any more balls in the air.

Still, fans will inevitably clamour for more scenes between Batman and Mr J: you'll just have to wait until his stand-alone for that.
