Game Of Thrones: Season 6 - 7 Clues From "Blood Of My Blood" Trailer

Hodor?

Game Of Thrones
HBO

Holy hell that was quite an episode: killing off three entirely innocent characters - in Leaf, Summer and Hodor - was a new high for heartless killing, but the finale of The Door was a stunning moment and one of the best the entire show has offered so far.

It was a packed episode with exposition alongside major mysteries being solved (both the "hodor" conundrum and how the White Walkers came to be), with the revelation that there is also more Dragonglass lying around thanks to the Children Of The Forest.

So where does it all leave us now? Bran is still on the run (well, the drag), Jon is heading to his mother's home lands, the Wall is painfully understaffed and Jorah has been friendzoned so hard he now isn't even allowed to die in peace.

According to the teaser for the next episode, we're going to see more of Bran, more of Sam and Gilly (and the Tully homelands), more of King's Landing and more church v state shenanigans...

So what clues can we glean from the teaser for the next episode?

7. Someone Is Very Sorry... Yeah, No Sh*t

Clearly, the episode is going to deal with the immediate aftermath of Hodor's death, including who will feel responsible.

On first reflection it appears it's Bran who is crying and saying sorry, but it could well be Meera, given the more feminine notes to the voice. And it is her who uttered the words that stuck Hodor to the door and made his death a certainty.

There is of course another alternative. As the trailer shows Bran still in his trance, there's a distinct possibility that Meera's apology is to Bran for leaving him to "die" as she makes her own escape. And if the Night's King has an intriguing use for him, it might not actually spell his end.
