Originality in Hollywood is dead, or so many people claim. After all, how often do any of us watch a movie like Get Out, which truly feels like it came from a wholly unique place, free of any overt influence?

Hollywood revolves around sequels, remakes, reboots and, in more subtle terms, movies that just rehash elements from other acclaimed films for their own gain.
