It's official: Robert Pattinson is playing Bruce Wayne in Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman.

There are plenty of reasons why this casting is absolutely spot on. The studio has very specifically wanted to go for a younger, more suave Bruce Wayne, and Pattinson is the perfect fit. He's proved his acting ability time and time again as well as a willingness to take risks in his role choices, meaning he'll certainly be putting his all into one of the world's most iconic superheroes.

But many just can't shake that Twilight appearance, despite his plethora of roles since the series wrapped up almost seven years ago. Pattinson is a serious actor with some of the most ambitious character choices in recent memory, though a lot of his movies have gone under-seen.

So before going into The Batman with a predisposed decade old perception of Pattinson's skills, here are some movies to check out to change your mind.

10. Good Time

If there was a single film to point to to highlight Pattinson's ability as an actor, it would be Good Time.

Playing the role of a robber trying to break his brother out of jail, Pattinson and his bleach blonde hair take the viewer on a breathtaking exploration of New York City.

Directed by Benny and Josh Safdie, Pattinson's lead character Connie Nikas is a highly flawed individual, going as far as to manipulate his confidantes and engage in taboo activity to achieve what he wants. The film is gritty, unforgiving and unapologetic, showing the violent and criminal side of what desperation and dedication does to a man.

This is widely considered to be Pattinson's finest performance as an actor, and while the film wasn't wildly successful box office-wise, it's often cited as one of the best films of 2017.

Chances are I’m watching a movie or replaying Mass Effect rather than doing anything productive.
