No one can say that the MCU is doing a bad bad job of bringing the Marvel comic book characters to the big screen but is there more to do?
Not many comic book fans were surprised when Captain America, Iron Man and Thor got their own film franchise. But when obscure characters like Ant Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy everyone got excited about what other characters could potentially take to the big or small screen.
So which Marvel heroes and villains have been overlooked in the TV and film universes so far? And who would play them should Marvel decide to bring them in?
10. She Hulk
Jennifer Walters is the cousin of current onscreen Hulk Dr. Bruce Banner. When she gets shot, a blood transfusion is the only way to save her life and who should come to the rescue? Dr Banner. Of course, his blood pulls its usual trick and gives Jennifer the ability to turn into a slightly weaker Hulk. BUT she can still think and reason as herself while in Hulk mode.
As more people call for Hulk’s universe to be expanded She Hulk remains the best option to give Banner’s world more life. What’s more, she has also been a member of the Heroes For Hire and The Defenders so she could also make a nice addition to the Netflix universe.
Who should play her? Zoe Bell.
Many will recognise her as Uma Thurman’s stunt double but, thanks to Tarantino, Bell has now stepped out of Thurman’s shadow. She’s got plenty of experience with stunts and special effects but can also hold a scene as we saw in Death Proof.
