Politics! Everybody loves politics, don't they? Whether it is laughing at George Osborne for refusing to deviate from his clearly flawed austerity plan or creating meme's out of photos of Boris Johnson hanging from a zipwire, there is something for absolutely everybody. Unless you don't vote. Then you have no say. There have been some wonderful politicians throughout movie history, perhaps the best example being Bill Pullman in Independence Day. He is a jet pilot! This list is not of those politicians in the same vein, this a group of people who could only hope to thought of in the same way, they wouldn't even get protest votes they are that useless.
10. Merkin Muffley - Dr. Strangelove
Dr. Strangelove is an absolute classic and a lot of that is down to the wonderful performance of Peter Sellers, one of his multiple roles is that of US President Merkin Muffley. Though he may have a highly amusing name but that is not enough to hide the fact he messed things up a little (take note, Boris). He is also bald and everyone knows that bald politicians are notoriously untrustworthy. Maybe. Though he may have stopped the fighting in the war room he definitely came across as a bit of a loser and having lost control of his nuclear arsenal and then failed to avert the almost definite destruction of the whole of the world it is safe to say he probably isn't the best politician ever.
