10 Critical Flops That Deserve More Praise
You can think less of a film for a variety of reasons. Maybe it couldnt possibly live up to expectations. Maybe it had a glaring flaw. Maybe it was misunderstood. The point is that plenty of films fall short of our appointed standards of greatness some by a little, and some by a lot. But the worst thing you could possibly do is dismiss these strange, unexpected and the just plain flawed films as outright crock. To damn them would be to cut off your nose to spite your face needlessly destructive and dismissive. Dont get me wrong, this doesnt apply to all films there are still plenty which are objectively awful, but equally, there are some films that dont deserve the condemnation they receive. Its a shame when they do, because one little inconsistency may bury a really, really good film. So without further ado, heres a list of ten highly underrated films. They might demand open-mindedness, patience and a little bit of forgiveness at times, but none of them are objectively bad they just have something against them.
