10 Dream Video Game Movie Castings We'd Die For

These casting choices will probably never happen, but we'd love that to not be the case.

Over the years there have been quite the number of video game movies, but with almost all of them being objectively bad, there is an enormous lack of hope that fans will ever get a good adaptation.

Something that has marred some of these on-screen experiences is the casting, where live-action versions of beloved characters - ones players have been with for years, perhaps even decades - see actors fail to recapture what made the original so engaging.

Though, really, there are plenty of actors who would be suited to portraying virtual heroes on the big screen. Sure, the likelihood of such casting choices actually happening is minuscule, but it is sometimes nice to think of what could be (and then cry upon coming back to reality).

So, with that said, here are ten such picks that are so very unlikely to happen but that would be so beautiful to see if they did...

10. Johnny Cage - Brad Pitt

Johnny Cage was based off of Jean-Claude Van Damme, so surely if someone of similar age to him is going to be cast, then it may as well be him? Right?

Well, to be honest, while Van Damme may have been a major inspiration (or exact template, depending on who you ask) for Cage, as the character has been developed into more of a unique figure over the course of the Mortal Kombat games - he has become closer to another Hollywood actor, that being Brad Pitt.

Pitt would really be a (and you will see this sentiment a lot throughout this list) perfect choice to play Cage - his charisma and slightly too perfect face making for a good reflection of the character that MK fans know and love.

Furthermore, from what has been shown of his fight scenes with Mike Moh (who is playing Bruce Lee) in Tarantino's upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Pitt seems more than able to believably convey someone who is good at martial arts, a must for a fighter such as Cage.
