10 Film Franchises That Need To Be Stopped
Hollywood has found safety these days with brand recognition. It seems that there's no point in taking a chance on something new or risky, when you can just slap a pre-existing brand name onto a diluted franchise and watch as people turn out in their droves. As soon as they have a surprise hit at the box office, they repackage it and milk it for all it's worth. Think the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise or SAW. If the numbers are to be believed then it's a trend that doesn't look like it'll go away. So I say it's time to have a look at franchises that are continually pumping out mindless dreck that we are happy to pay for over and over again, except each time with a different coat of paint.
