10 Film Scenes That Secretly Glamorised Drugs

10. Pineapple Express

Drug: Marijuana If ever there was a film that glamorised the use of drugs - or rather the use of a particular drug - it's Pineapple Express. Unofficially the favoured film of the pothead, it has undoubtedly led to many a laugh in its time; especially when the viewer is as high as the day is long. Chronicling a less-than-ordinary day in the life of frequent pot smoker Dale (Seth Rogen) and his playful drug dealer Saul (James Franco), the film takes an inevitable turn for the worst when Dale unknowingly witnesses the murder of a Chinese drug lord. From an unspectacular car chase to a single-handed demolition of an underground plantation, via every variety of marijuana known to man, Pineapple Express has it all. Unfortunately, having it all results in only one thing - desire. If the film's intention is to dissuade people from the use of marijuana, then it fails miserably. If it achieved only one thing, it was that aspiring marijuana smokers increased tenfold after viewing this film.
