Pretty much all of us can agree that the Star Wars “prequels” were underwhelming at best. The films are an overstuffed political diatribe, problematic from day one with the introduction of Jar-Jar Binks and then further burdened with the difficult task of showing a boy become a man who then becomes Darth Vader, one of the most evil and iconic images of all time.
The films, when taken individually however, do give us several great moments of Star Wars bliss; we here at What Culture have provided you with our choices for most memorable.
10a. Jedi Master Mace Windu Arrives on the Scene
Film: Episode 2 – Attack of the Clones
With the arrival of Samuel L. Jackson’s purple lightsaber wielding Jedi Master Mace Windu on the planet of Geonosis in Attack of the Clones, it was very apparent that business had picked up. Though he utters a nearly laughable line with “This party’s over” while holding his lightsaber to the throat of bounty hunter Jango Fett, it is still a priceless scene. We would expect nothing less from the badass that is Samuel L. Jackson.
10b. Jedi Master Mace Windu confronts Chancellor Palpatine
Film: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith
Bringing 3 additional Jedi with him to arrest Palpatine, it’s obvious Mace Windu is all business when confronting the Chancellor about being the Dark Lord of the Sith the Jedi have been looking for. The scene itself was way too short on action (really, Palpatine single handedly and ridiculously killed 3 Jedi with little effort?), but it was still a defining moment of the Prequel Trilogy.

Scenes 10b, 6, 5, 4, and 1 are terrible. Number one also makes no sense to the narrative.
Instead of calling it 10 Great Scenes and putting 1.5 and 10.5 why not just call it 12 Great scenes? And Anakin leaving Tatooine is as far from a great scene as you can get. Putting that over the Darth Maul fight is stupid.
Nice try, but these films are all broken.
Some scenes had the potential to be great, but a mixture of poor casting, hammy acting, terrible script, over indulgent CGI/choreography etc etc just make all these scenes laughable.
Agreed
No Order 66?
The short but awesome Yoda Force Bitch slapping the Emperor’s gaurds?
