10 Greatest Ever MMA Films

9. Here Comes The Boom

Here Comes The Boom gets mention for two reasons: one, there aren't a whole lot of MMA movies that exactly involve the sport of MMA as we know it. Two, it gets credit for using some legit fighters (Bas Rutten, Jason "Mayhem" Miller) in the production. That said, it's still a Kevin James movie - where he plays a teacher and former amateur wrestler, Scott Voss, who attempts to save the school music program by taking a fight in the UFC. Rutten (a UFC Hall of Famer) has a supporting role, and Henry Winkler and Salma Hayek star as well. The plot is downright ludicrous - Voss basically decides to take a bunch of MMA fights, where he looks terrible, on his way to a big fight in the UFC, knowing he'll make bank even if he loses - but it's at least a true MMA film, and an honest attempt, at its core. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4L6ruTF5qE
