Its like a bad sense of Déjà-vu; you scan the local movie times for some entertainment and as your eyes glance the titles over you do a double take. Wait a minute! Havent I seen this before? you think, as your forehead crinkles in puzzlement. Somehow they are vaguely familiar, and that could be because you have seen them before. In a true testament to the current lack of good writing and originality the latest Hollywood trend is the remake/reboot, or as I call it Hollywood Part Deux. Allow me to define. A remake is where old movies are taken out of the closet, dusted off and given a new face while a reboot is a way of re-launching a franchise. Sometimes a remake/reboot can be good, introducing a new generation and audience to something treasured. Or they can be torturous to where you cant believe what you are seeing on the screen as you raise your eyes to the heavens in silent plead of why? Here are some remakes and reboots that didnt quite fit and frankly never should have been made.
