10 Most Rewatchable Movies Of The 1980s

7. Aliens

The difference between James Cameron’s Aliens and most other action movies of the '80s is narrative. Time was invested into character development, so the viewer really cares about the main cast when the bullets start to fly and the Xenomorphs bite.

That's what made the sequel so compelling the first time around, but it stands up tall after multiple rewatches because it's a non-stop thrill ride.

Aliens feeds your inner adrenaline junkie in the same way as the most explosive war flicks, and the best part is that it comes without the side helping of guilt you feel when watching a movie based on a real-life armed conflict.

Seeing Sigourney Weaver's Ellen Ripley take the fight to a horde of acid-bleeding extraterrestrial nasties with a squad of Colonial Marines in tow will never grow old, especially the scene where she takes on the alien queen.
