10 Most Ridiculous Fan Reactions To Avengers: Endgame

9. No Spoilers

This one is only ridiculous because in this cynical Information age, spoilers can feel impossible to avoid. So the fact there was a genuine, communal effort from the fanbase to help each other avoid spoilers is ridiculous in the best possible way.

Across Reddit and similar sites, all Endgame discussion was quarantined to specific, spoiler tagged areas. Memes, fan art and Easter eggs were also confined away from those not deliberately searching out. It was a phenomenal effort on behalf of the moderating teams, and it certainly paid off.

Of course, some Instagram ‘curators’ and YouTubers didn’t play ball, but you’ll always have outliers. All in all, the fanbase did a wonderful and very considerate job protecting their fellow Marvelites from spoilers.

It’s a pity Marvel themselves weren’t so accommodating. While ironically using the #DontSpoilTheEndgame hashtag, they tweeted out a mini trailer post opening weekend which spoiled (amongst other things) Rescue, the Battle For New York and Professor Hulk.

Gwyneth Paltrow also unintentionally leaked Rescue, while Chris Pratt released a making of video for the famous portals shot before the Russos’ self imposed spoiler ban was up.

Still, the fans did their bit, at least.
