10 Movies That Deserve a Spin-Off More Than Paranormal Activity

10. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang - "Gay Perry: Private Detective"

Harry Lockhart might be one of the most refreshing protagonists in ages, but Val Kilmer's Gay Perry steals the show. Hard-boiled, quick-lipped, feisty, and tough, he's a character that can work with just about any type of character. I'd personally like to see him tackle crazy case after crazy case, with Downey Jr.'s Lockhart making a cameo or two. Keep the style and tone of Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, but give Perry a really tough case, making him be a bit more Sherlockian and deducing than he got to be in KK,BB. If there's any type of interesting character that could start up a new franchise, it's most definitely Gay Perry. And Kilmer's return to arguably his greatest character is non-negotiable. Shane Black, when you're finished with Iron Man 3, your child awaits your return.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
