10 Movies We Want In Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3

10. Doctor Strange

Dr Strange Let me just start by saying that a Doctor Strange movie made in the '80s or '90s would have been awful. Even the best comic book-based movies still had a cheese factor that would have made Doctor Strange a silly sci-fi movie with a wise-cracking sidekick and a stunning love interest. Thanks to Christopher Nolan's re-imagining of the comic book movie, though, even a fantastical character like Doctor Strange can be done in a fresh and more relevant way. Strange also has a back story that makes Captain America seem like a girl scout. A gritty and visually stunning Doctor Strange film could take a "not-huge-name" character to the next level. Writing and special effects aside, casting would be key. Lest we forget, Iron Man was a character so unpopular that Marvel almost canceled the comic in the 1990s. Kevin Feige has already said that Doc Strange will appear in phase 3, but Ant Man seems to be getting all the attention at this juncture. Last, but certainly not least, a Doctor Strange movie could help set up an "Illuminati" film (if you aren't familiar with the Marvel Illuminati, keep reading).
