10 Must-See Movies Released In February 2015

Miss these at your peril.

January is finally over and done with - the slowest month of the year both in terms of waiting until payday after an expensive Christmas and New Year as well as for new cinema releases, it's seen a predictable share of terrible films along with a few surprisingly good ones. Johnny Depp appears to be happy continuing his run of awful movies, with Mordecai causing eyes to roll amongst the few who actually bothered to go and see it. Liam Neeson proved that he still loves money with the latest - and hopefully final - instalment of Taken 3 also hitting cinemas. Throw in a couple of unnecessary sequels and another tiresome Jason Statham vehicle and it seems as if January's "graveyard release schedule" image is justified. Fortunately there were some great releases hidden among the dross - Ex Machina could prove to be something of a cult hit, while Paul Thomas Anderson caused anyone who saw Inherent Vice to scratch their heads in puzzlement at what they'd just seen and hope it'll make more sense when they watch it again on DVD. Looking forward to February 2015 and there are certainly plenty of films audiences would be wise to avoid - but to soften the blow there are a few releases coming out in the US and UK that will be worth your time. Here are ten potentially must-see movies heading your way during the shortest month of the year.
