10 New Characters We're Most Excited About In MCU Phase 3

Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomers we can't wait to see!

Pretty much everyone who hasn't been living under a rock is now aware of the huge announcement Marvel Studios made last week; nine new films are confirmed as being in development and that means, in addition to next year's Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, there are now eleven new films to look forward to in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The aforementioned Age of Ultron and Ant-Man bring Phase 2 to a close, but the other nine (Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, Captain Marvel, Inhumans and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2) encompass the entirety of Phase 3. In those movies, we're going to be introduced to some fantastic live action versions of popular characters from Marvel comic book history and we can't wait. From the titular characters to the supporting characters, a wide variety of awesome heroes and villains will add a new flavour to an already interesting universe that has expanded in to the cosmos to explore otherworldly realms and alien planets. In this article, we're going to take a look at which of those new characters are causing a buzz and who we can't wait to see. Here are the ten new characters we're most excited about seeing in Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 (the list will strictly include only characters who haven€™t appeared on screen yet and who won€™t appear until Phase 3, so there'll be no Ultron, Thanos or Ant-Man etc. It also contains spoilers)...

Honourable Mention: Ragnarok

While the Thor: Ragnarok movie is more likely to be referring to the event - a war that results in the death of all the Norse Gods - we still think there's a possibility of seeing the cyborg Thor clone of the same name in Phase 3. If, as expected, Thor dies in Age of Ultron, Tony Stark may use some of his DNA to create a Stark-tech/Asgardian hybrid to fight alongside him in the Civil War. It's by no means certain but, if it does happen, we're definitely looking forward to the possibility of seeing Chris Hemsworth playing both parts and fighting against "himself". And now on to the actual list...
