10 Reasons Tom Holland Is Perfect For Spider-Man

7. He's Just A Regular Teen

Tom Holland is a proper teen, too. Not only because he's literally teenaged, but also because all the evidence suggests he's exactly the slightly embarrassing, goofy kid Andrew Garfield just about managed to pretend to be during his tenure as Spidey, and which the Maguire films didn't even bother trying to replicate. His Twitter bio is just a link to his Instagram. In fact, his entire feed is pretty much just posting images from his Instagram, a lot of the time with emoji-heavy captions. That's Peter Parker in 2015, right? A typical teenager who's a bit embarrassing when it comes to his pet dog, and is deliberately cagey about his personal life. Director Ron Howard worked with Holland on In The Heart Of The Sea, and basically made the case for him being the sort of youthful Peter Parker Sony and Marvel were looking for: €œHe's full of fun, full of life, and really enjoying the experience of his young career and where it's leading him.€ A young, fresh, fun-loving Spidey? Yes please.
