10 Superheroines Fanboys Would Love To See In Live Action Comic Book Movies

powergirlboobs Superheroines have been quite terribly under-utilised in comic book movies to date. We've seen Supergirl, Elektra, Black Widow, the Invisible Woman, a few X-Women and not a whole lot else from heroic female characters (that list sounds quite ample but, when compared to the number of male super-powered heroes who've appeared in live action movies, it is tiny). Bearing that in mind, isn't it about time we saw a few more make an appearance on the big screen? I use the term "fanboys" (not in a derogatory way) in the title, rather than just saying "superheroines WE'D like to see", for two reasons; the first is that not all of the entries in this list are popular enough for the general movie-goer to have heard of them and the second is because some fanboys tend to have a soft spot for the scantily-clad, tight-costumed comic book superheroines (I've never seen the appeal myself, they're just drawings after all, but each to their own) and seeing them in live action would really appeal to their eyes (and that's something I think we can all agree with them on). Of course, it isn't just the potential for hotness that makes these characters great for the big screen - they are very interesting characters who have every bit as much of a right to crossover to the world of cinema as their male counterparts who tend to dominate cinematic proceedings. This list will include strictly heroic characters (so, as great as Harley Quinn would be, she won't be on this list) and strictly those who haven't already appeared in a live action movie (so, as much as we'd like a better Emma Frost, she won't be here either). Here are ten superheroines that fanboys would love to see in a live action movie...

Honourable Mention: Scarlet Witch

Scarlet-Witch-marvel-superheroines-10397121-1280-581 The Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) does not make the full list for the simple fact that we no longer need to wish for this to happen, because it definitely already is going to. Elizabeth Olsen has been confirmed as portraying the Scarlet Witch in the 2015 film The Avengers: Age of Ultron, giving the titular superhero team their first taste of magical power. She will be the first mutant to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - being the daughter of Magneto and the sister of Quicksilver - but will not be used as a means to bridge the gap between the MCU and the X-Men movie universe, sadly. That said, she's an incredibly powerful and very interesting character with a versatile and esoteric powerset that will be very interesting to see in live action - Elizabeth Olsen will look stunning in that costume as well. Now, on to the actual list...
