10 Things You Can Expect From Ben Affleck's Batman Movie

Forget Zack Snyder, The Batman is making his own movies now.

Though Batman V Superman isn't due for release for another year, DC and Warner Bros. aren't waiting around to start planning a new solo effort for the Caped Crusader - it's sounding like a standalone Batman movie from the DCCU will come out in 2018, simply titled The Batman, and directed by Ben Affleck. Yes, even though Affleck is going to be worked hard enough playing Bruce Wayne five times in the next four years, he's currently the frontrunner to direct The Batman as well. And while Affleck's previous directorial efforts - the hard-boiled crime thrillers Gone Baby Gone and The Town, and hostage drama Argo - don't immediately suggest he's the right one to helm The Batman, he's no stranger a choice than Christopher Nolan being selected as the man for Batman Begins in 2005. And everyone knows how that turned out - Nolan brought his own stamp that fans loved. It's hard to imagine a visionary like Affleck wouldn't do that same, distinct thing, giving audiences a kind of Batman movie they've never seen before For one, it'll be the first to have ever been directed by an Oscar winner - Affleck has two - who to date hasn't dabbled in genre territory at all (even Nolan's works prior to Batman Begins were heavily influenced by film noir). With that in mind, here are ten things audiences can expect from a Ben Affleck-directed Batman movie.
