10 Things You Didn't Know About Bruce Lee

2. He Nearly Knocked Out Jackie Chan Whilst Filming Enter The Dragon

There's no way to recount this story other than by way of Jackie Chan himself, who -adorably - unveiled the incident when asked for his "Best Story Ever" for a TV segment. Here's what the star of Rumble in the Bronx (and countless iconic martial arts) films said:
"The best story for me, I think, was when I was young... doing Enter the Dragon, fighting with Bruce Lee. And I was behind the camera, waiting, waiting... I just see Bruce Lee... ... then I just run up argghh! Then, poom! Pah! Suddenly, my eyes are all black, because one stick right on my head. Pah! He missed it. But I just do nothing. And I just fell... a little dizzy, but it's okay. I look at Bruce Lee - he doesn't do anything. He looks and everybody and keep acting, turns around and to the director and says 'Cut!' Then he just throws the two sticks and turns around and 'Oh my God!' He ran to me and lift me up: 'I'm sorry! I'm sorry!' And actually, I'm not in pain anymore, because young guy like me - very tough. But suddenly - I don't know why - I just pretend it's very painful . I just wanted Bruce Lee to hold me as long as he could. Doing the whole day, everytime he looked at me... , and I'd say, 'Okay, okay.' I think that's the best moment. And somehow, he came to me and said 'What's your name?' 'Jackie.' Then he'd talk to me: 'Jackie, huh? Jackie, Jackie...'"
Jackie Chan is right: Best. Story. Ever.
