10 Upcoming Movies That Have Made Terrible Mistakes Already

10. Not Rebooting Fully - The Suicide Squad

Marvel Studios/Warner Bros

You can’t just add ‘The’ in front of the title and call it a sequel.

The second Suicide Squad movie is a kind of reboot, kind of sequel which will retool the first movie while still trying to keep things moving forward. Really though, you have to ask why.

There’s a chance it could pull a Ragnarok and be a stroke of genius, but in all likelihood the flaws of the first film will continue to drag it down. A full on reboot feels like a much better option, especially given some of the sweeping changes made already.

Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn was far and away the most popular thing in the movie, and she’s already being spun off into something else. She’s set to be back for this, but it remains to be seen how big a part she’ll play if they’re establishing a solo arc for her elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Idris Elba was rumoured to have replaced Will Smith’s Deadshot, though it now turns out Deadshot will be absent and Elba is playing another, as yet unknown character.

Going back to the drawing board seems best for all concerned, so let’s hope the first film doesn’t weigh down James Gunn’s efforts.
