The death of cinema is not something to be taken lightly. Over the course of the next few years, Hollywood has pretty much declared war on the cinematic medium in general; it plans to unveil a selection of movies so inherently terrible ("anti-films," as it were) that there is little hope left for the future of film. After said movies have been unleashed upon the general public at large, there is no going back. It will mark the definitive point at which Hollywood threw its hands into the air and said: "F*ck it." Because haven't that phrase pretty much come to symbolise the attitude so frequently extended to movie-goers around the world on behalf of Hollywood, year after year? As time goes by, the standard of motion pictures pushed out into theatres seems to be dropping; that's not to say there are never any good movies, just that you have to wade through a sea of terrible ones in order to find anything even vaguely resembling worthy.
