11 Times James Bond Said F**k You To The Fans

Those moments where 007 truly flipped off his audience...

The James Bond movie franchise is, of course, one of the most iconic and successful pop-culture properties of all time, boasting a massively broad appeal and sustaining itself incredibly well over the last 50-plus years through both the good and the bad times. Though it's fair to say that the series is certainly at a high-point at the moment with the recent success of Sam Mendes' billion dollar-grossing Skyfall, there have absolutely been times over the years where it's felt like MGM and the filmmakers just haven't given a damn at all about actually making a good movie that fans are going to like. The reasons for this are numerous: allowing actors an over-extended tenure (and you all know which one specifically), too much downtime between films or sometimes not enough, terrible supporting characters, plots that are just too outlandish, and casting controversy that left a very sour taste indeed. Each instance left even the most hardcore Bond fans wondering whether the creative minds behind the series were really even trying anymore, though it's a testament to his popularity that 007 managed to bounce back every time. Over the last five decades, here are 10 times James Bond said f*** you to the fans.
