13 Disturbing Disney Moments That Ruined Your Childhood

8. Wolf Attack - Beauty And The Beast

Ursula The Little Mermaid
Disney

When young Belle must live in a dilapidated castle with a monstrous beast as a punishment for her father's trespassing, she rightly gets a bit fed up. Taking a horse and throwing up the finger to the wealthy Beast's castle, she rides out into the night, but her journey isn't as smooth as she would hope. She's soon set upon by a pack of ravenous wolves, animated with a ferocious intensity that got even the bravest hearts beating a little faster when it first came out.

This is well and all, but then the Beast shows up in a rage to protect his runaway charge: and he's even more monstrous than the wolves themselves. The whole thing is quite traumatic and very full of scary, toothy snarls, coming as a harsh reminder of the animalistic nature of Belle's captor as well as the dangers of the outside world she wasn't necessarily aware of.

Sometimes a pretty face just means the creatures of the woods are more interested in eating it.
